The aha was huge—This is the way to Feng Shui your business for massive growth!
“I’m going to write a blog about this,” I told Mom. “This is part of the energy that helps businesses grow. They just don’t think about this boring thing being one of the big-ass answers!”
“I get it!” She replied. “I’m doing my closet as we speak!”
“Yes, the closet and your clothes are part of how you show up in the world. The closet Feng Shui is powerful. But wait until you Feng Shui your mind for delegation of business tasks! OMG, watch out world!”
First, Declutter!
Most of you understand the basic idea of Feng Shui as decluttering your physical space—your desk, room, filing cabinet, inbox, etc. Now take that basic (and super-powerful) tool, and apply it to the thousands of tasks you’re doing in your business that are in your head, completed from memory.
Clear them all out. Make some room! Feng Shui your mind, people!
“I write to Feng Shui my soul.” ~Laura Di Franco
Let’s say every business task is out of your head, on paper, listed in step-by-step instructions, and easily delegatable to a team member. Holy moly, can you feel it? All the email templates, all the follow-up processes, all the front-end lead generation, all the onboarding. . .
Whether you already have that first team member or not, you’re going to feel the relief, ease, peace, and power of completing this.
What is “this?”
Systemizing your business—getting every single process and system (including each task of each process and system) written and organized so all you have to do is ask an assistant, “Please go do that for me.”
Your assistant not only knows where to go and what to do, they do it perfectly and they do it consistently, so that part of your business is now “automatic” or “automated” and/or it’s time you get to spend dreaming, visioning, teaching, mentoring, coaching, healing, or whatever else you were born to do.
The conversation with Mom started like this:
“How was your weekend, Honey?”
“I had a great weekend. I actually wrote some of those SOPs I was procrastinating on. When I finished, I felt this space in me, literally. The relief was palpable. I have these three tasks that I complete every week, multiple times a week. Every time I did them, I thought: Someone else could be doing this. And now, they are!”
With every standard operating procedure (SOP) I create, more freedom rides in on that wave, and my nervous system comes down a notch. I feel the prevention of burnout in each wave, in each SOP completed.
Next, Clean!
The next step in Feng Shui is cleaning. With your kitchen cabinets, it means clearing everything out of them, trashing what’s not needed, old, stale, broken, or otherwise not good, and then literally cleaning the cupboard, cabinet, or drawer.
I use a natural cleaning spray with a mix of white vinegar, water, and essential oil (peppermint is a fave). The high-vibe energy you clean with matters. Don’t add heavy or toxic chemicals to your spaces, y’all.
With your business, you can of course clean your desk and other physical spaces, but how would we “clean” the inner space after we declutter?
Here are 5 ways:
- Meditation
- Breathwork
- Sound Healing
- Smudging
- Movement
Shift the energy and clean it up and out with your favorite modality. Try them all! Add your favorites!
Finally, Curate!
When I curate my physical business spaces, it shows up in purple crystals, colorful artwork that makes me smile, yellow paint on the walls, and a special Palo Santo candle I light before Zooms.
“Turn your home into a vision board for your life.” ~Dana Claudat
What would that look like for the mind, thoughts, beliefs, and inner world?
When you curate your inner space after decluttering and cleaning, it might look like mantras, dream-journaling, visioning, vision board creation, nourishing water or food, a sugar-oil scrub for your skin, or a favorite outfit or new way you do your hair for your next meeting.
It’s the new rituals you choose every day that feed you energetically, emotionally, and mentally.
Curating your spaces means choosing high vibrations in all the ways you can think of, from who you bring into your inner circle of confidants, to what you put on your body, to the thoughts you choose to believe.
What if we turn our inner world into a vision board for our life and business? Oh, what manifesting power we will have!
If you’d like to start systemizing your business, documenting the systems, and getting them out of your head to clear a space for the magic, there are two great ways to learn more about this.
On the Systemized podcast, my son Jonathan (CEO of Systems Success Pro) and I co-host and interview successful CEOs about a system that helped bring them the time freedom we all crave.
Every episode will help you Feng Shui your business systems! Find it on any platform podcasts live, or watch it on YouTube HERE.
And, every month we have a FREE systems workshop to help you get into action with this! Grab a seat for that HERE.
Lastly, a huge shout-out to Dana Claudat. When I combined your Feng Shui magic with my passion for publishing and business growth, some super-magical things began to happen. Thank you so much for sharing your magic with the world.
